In this blog post, we will explore the top 10 search terms that teachers use when searching for teaching resources. Our data is based on the usage of Freeed, a popular education platform, among teachers in Finland and Italy. More than 50% of Finnish teachers use Freeed, while in Italy the share is around 10%. This means that our data is likely to quite accurately reflect the situation in both countries.
The top 10 teaching topics for Finnish and Italian teachers differ in their focus on the subject matter. The Finnish list includes many topics related to language skills and math, while the Italian list includes broader topics such as peace and friendship. This might reflect the different educational priorities and what is seen as important topics to learn in the two countries. The inclusion of "peace" as one of the most popular search terms in Italy may be influenced by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
